Our March community litter cleanup is happening this Saturday! World Water Day is a day to celebrate the importance of clean water and sanitation systems. Picking up trash and litter quickly, before it can degrade in our harsh New Mexico sunlight, keeps contaminants and trash particles from washing into our waterways. In Silver City, our watershed flows into San Vicente Creek, where our Town's sewer lines also run. As we remove trash from our neighborhoods, roads, parks, and trails, we can protect our surface water quality and our sewer and drainage systems, allowing the Town to service Utilities more easily.
