Keeping Silver City clean, beautiful, and operating smoothly is about more than cleaning up trash thrown on the ground. It's also important to keep litter out of our Town's pipes and drains. We worked with SkyWest Media and the Town of Silver City's Utility Department to produce this short video which reminds us that improper waste disposal down drains is a major issue: it costs valuable time and money to clean blockages, built-up oil, and other debris out of our sewer lines. Blockages lead to sanitary sewer overflows that can pollute our soils and waterways and cause major health risks, especially for children and pets. So remember, neighbors: "Don't Clog Our Drains." Don't flush any products except toilet paper down your toilet (NO sanitary items, NO "flushable" wipes) and don't pour oil down your sink.
